Carrie previously worked in pet retail where the highlight of her day was handling any animals or even cleaning out the enclosures. Sharing education with pet owners about nutrition was a new found excitement and skill.
She believes that you can ‘always’ teach an old dog new tricks so commenced the Cert IV in Companion Animal Studies course with her first goal of working in Dog Daycare (where she could enjoy well-treated dogs) The outgoing single mum of a teen and 2 furbabies found her initial introduction to the animal industry and employment at Billy’s Daycare for Dogs Belmont.
She joined the team at Central Bark after some work experience mid-2018 and particularly enjoys supervising the high energy pack and playing interactive games with all the dogs. With future dreams of running her own business Carrie hopes to gain experience in all aspects of the animal care industry and to provide an ethical service to pets and their owners.
